Counselling for adults
People usually seek Counselling when aspects of their lives feel overwhelming, unmanageable or they are having difficulty coping with life. This could be through bereavement, relationship issues, family issues, work, stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD or childhood issues that may be currently affecting their lives. Sometimes it may be difficult to know what is troubling; it could just be a sense that life could feel happier or a curiosity as to why familiar situations with unsatisfactory outcomes keep happening.
How I work with adults
Counselling can help explore patterns in relationships, ways of behaving and other issues, with a view to gaining deeper understanding and insights. Often the way we respond to challenging situations in the here and now is influenced by our history. Making connections and understanding these links can help us make positive changes. I offer a supportive and non-judgemental relationship in which to do this.
